Excerpts from a photographic journal I kept while I aged out of the foster care system picturing my experience and that of 6 of my foster brothers as they aged out (turned 18-21) and left state care. The images start with personal family photos, then transition to images from my court placement in a foster home at age 14-21, i mainly photographed my foster brothers in care and as they exited care, i ebventually aging out of the system. The image series ends with images from me and my brothers reunification upon our aging out of the system with our biological mother and grandmother.
